Milan Peschel

Biography

Milan Peschel (born January 17, 1968, in East Berlin) is a German actor and director. Peschel was born in East Berlin to a teacher and a fashion journalist, and he grew up in the city districts of Lichtenberg and Friedrichshain. From 1984 to 1986, he completed an apprenticeship as a theater carpenter at the German State Opera Berlin (Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin), subsequently working as a stage technician at the Volksbühne Berlin until 1991. Afterward, he studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts from 1991 to 1995. From 1997 to 2008, Peschel was a member of the ensemble at the Volksbühne Berlin, where he appeared in numerous productions directed by Frank Castorf and Dimiter Gotscheff.
